Christmas Day Celebrations!

Merry Christmas to all my blog followers! I hope you had a special day celebrating with family and loved ones!-I sure did. We were invited to my moms for a Christmas lunch today. Each place setting had an ornament we could take home for our tree, aswell as a homemade cracker made by me(filled with Ferrero Roches). On the menu was glazed gammon, duck stuffed with cranberries and sage, beef cordon bleu, bean salad, carrots, peas and roast potatoes. After all that we needed a rest break and retired to the lounge for a bit. On return to the dining room we were treated to strawberries, ice-cream, mince pies and tiramisu. Wow, we are all so stuffed now! It's amazing to think that next year we will have a little baby to join us, what a celebration that will be. I can't wait to start our own family traditions and do fun things together. I was super spoilt rotten by everyone. A few of my fave prezzies are: my FIRST EVER car, nighties and underwear for my hospital stay and a stunning new perfume- YSL Belle D'Opium. Gorgeous!!!! Also wishing my in-laws a happy holiday in Oz!

Christmas

Christmas arrived early at our house, my tree has already been up for about 2 weeks! I just love this time of year. Now that the decorations are up, I need to start baking. I have promised my 4yr old niece a biscuit baking session- that should be fun!

Prezzies!

One of the best things about birthdays is opening presents! My friends really out did themselves and obviously know me very well now, I got tons of "prettiness!" One of the most special gifts I received is a handmade gift from one of the "Iheartmarket" stall holders, Sue. I have been following her lovely creations on Facebook ( we haven't actually formally met), she made a "Russian doll" and "Angel wings" for Rebecca's nursery. Thank you so much Sue!- and it turns out we share a birthday! The other gift that I was blown away by, was a birthday cake iced by my friend Misty "The cake Queen". Each flower was created out of icing, by hand. I think it was the most photographed and talked about cake. And boy was it YUMMY too! Thanks my dear friends, you really made my day!

My 30th birthday party

On Saturday 3 Dec my sweet mom hosted a high tea at her house for 20 of my closest "girlfriends".

The tables were groaning under the weight of all the yummy treats on offer. There was chocolate cake, caramel cake, cupcakes, chocolates, sweets, biscuits, cocktail rolls, petit fours, sausage rolls and mini pies. Liquid refreshments were tea and coffee, herbal teas, iced teas, berry punch, champagne and orange juice and the range of Woolies cooldrinks like gingerbeers, lemonade and pomegranate! There were chinese fans to keep yourself looking cool, and each friend went home with a pair of earrings as a thank you gift!

A new set of wheels!

About 2 weeks back I made the purchase for our baby that I am sure is going to get a lot of use, a pram, snug and safe carrier and base unit for the car! I can't wait to push Rebecca around the shops and show her off to everyone, aswell as family walks along the promenade!

Pregnancy update

I can't believe how time has flown, I am now just over 6months pregnant! Next month is my 30th, then Christmas and in the new year I'll be spoilt with a baby shower! Shooooo WOW so many fun and exciting things to look forward to. I made myself and a friend badges to wear at our baby showers, I'm still busy with the "granny" badges! This week I was kindly given a bunch of baby clothes from my sister in law Kerry, so I have been very busy doing handwashing and celebrating the lovely sunshine!
