My lovely gifts

These are the lovely goodies I received in the post from Lisa of http://www.vintagecraftstudio.blogspot.com/: A handbound leather journal, winter bracelet, vintage buttons on a red felt heart and lovely bunny card!-all handmade by Lisa.

This is where I was last weekend.....

We went to Underberg last weekend with 5 great mates. Stayed in a massive house that one of my clients set us up with! Awsome views and fun times! Got back to Durbs just in time though, as I hear it snowed there this past week! Brrrr!

For sale

Vintage kitchenalia

So one of my hobbies is going out on a hunt for old pyrex bowls, kitchen scales, enamelware, glassware, mixing bowls and snack dishes etc. These items have become quite desirable as decor, and for the most part still function pretty well too. Some of these goods stand the test of time far better than their modern day counterparts. My home is full of all sorts of collectables already, so to free up some space and put a smile on your dial I am parting with these treasures! So put on your domestic goddess frock and take a lookie. As yet I will only be selling to Durban bloggers, as postage can be quite steep on bigger items. If you like anything on here please drop me a mail! Also message me if there is anything in particular you would like me to source, and I will try my very best to get it for you!

Buttons!!!

I just LOVE buttons! They are so cute and colourful! Here's a look at some of the jewellery I create and sell:

Easter lunch for mates! Pizza and salads!

Here's what our place looked like before the guests arrived:

Swap!

A few weeks back I took part in a swap that Angie from Lucky Pony organised! We were paired up and asked to send a gift we would like to get as a surprise in the post! I was paired with Lisa from the Cape, and we both decided to send handmade items. I sent her my signature button range bracelet, necklace, earrings and a homemade card! Here are the pics:

Christmas is coming.....no really...

Ok,sothis blog post might seem a bit out of place given that we're now deep into the month of May! But since I am new to blog land I've got a load of stuff I've gotta post from the past. A lot of the material I post about is going to be photos taken at my mom's house. I have the same passion for antiques & vintage like she does, but alas my humble abode is not as BIG for such collections.
These are just 3 pics of her downstairs lounge. In total about 3 BIG trees get decorated ,aswell as a number of smalled trees in bedrooms and even mini trees for the dolls. Every year more and more antique dolls and toys get added to the collection.
It makes for a truly spectacular Christmas and brings out your inner child!
