This little light of mine...I'm gonna let it shine!

This cute little night light was mine when I was growing up. "Sally squirrel's cottage" recently got a make-over. I added a little hedgegrow and some flowers to the outside of this woodland dwelling, aswell as some new family members inside! Now this light is glowing brighter than ever knowing that it's new owner is going to be tiny Rebecca Roberts!!!
Here are the befores:

And here is the "After"

Can you spot the 2 new squirrel siblings scampering around, and daddy squirrel tucking the twin babies into bed?

Progress in the nursery!

So we have started working on our nursery, all the furniture is in place. On Friday we went for our 16week scan and were told that we're expecting a little girl! Her name is to be "Rebecca Anne Roberts". Today is only Sunday, but she has already been spoilt with a few outfits and shoes, a mobile and a wooden butterfly(to hang from the ceiling). Thank you Granny Doreen and Uncle Ruedi. Daddy also bought her a piggy wastepaper bin. This week coming I should get some Beatrix Potter posters back from the framers, and I can start ordering the soft furnishings. I'm very pleased with how it's starting to look, the colourful bunting around the room is still a "MAYBE" and might get replaced with fabric bunting. There is still some painting patch ups to be done and some little decorative shelves need to be put up- But for 17weeks I think we are pretty much on track. Rebecca is going to be one spoilt little cupcake!!!

Thundulula revisted

Last weekend we made the journey down the South Coast again, this time with our friends Barry and Carole who are also expecting! We stayed at Thundulula again, this time in the "Kokomoya" tent. Again the hospitality could not be faulted and the weather was great. Saturday morning we ate breakfast at the "Waffle house" and popped in at the "Pistol saloon". We also managed to catch some snaps of a snake that had just caught a frog.

Hush little baby!!!

My mom has been very busy painting and spray painting bits of furniture for baby's nursery! First up was our old crib (Moses basket), which my 34yr old brother slept in as a baby and myself (almost 30yrs old). It was just raw wicker in colour, but all the nursery furniture is going to be white. Then came a rocking chair I found as a second hand shop and a bookshelf from my parent's place. We have bought a cot, and been spoilt with a compactum which gets delivered on Thursday! Yay!!! It really is beginning to look like a little person is arriving soon!
